As a six-year journalist with communication degrees in both journalism and public relations, I have spent a good portion of my career focused on telling the stories of people throughout my communities.
Through my positions as a reporter for different regions, freelance experience with notable media outlets and working with a team for a PR brand awareness campaign, I have learned the power of strong, personable, creative communication strategy.
I have received awards for my writing from the South Carolina Press Association in 2024 and 2025; first place in news reporting, first, second and third place in business reporting, and third place in in-depth reporting twice, amongst other internal awards.
When I am not slouched over my keyboard, I fill my time with books, reruns of Friends, time exploring my community or crocheting with my cat, Tank.
